Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 June 2026

This explains what ymy.at collects, why, and what you can do about it — in plain language.

What we collect

Account details: your email address, and either a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text) or, if you sign in through a third-party provider, an identifier from that account.

Content you create: your short links and their destinations, and your link-in-bio page.

Basic counts: we keep a running click total for each link and a per-day tally that your dashboard charts over the last 14 days. We do not build profiles of the people who click your links, and we do not sell your data.

Abuse reports: if you report a link or page, we keep what you send us — the link or page reported, the reason and any details — and, if you choose to add it, your email. We also record the IP address and browser the report came from, so we can review it and keep the form from being misused.

Cookies and local storage

We store your sign-in token and your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. If you use a third-party sign-in, we set one short-lived cookie during that flow to keep the login secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Third parties

If you choose to sign in through a third-party provider, that provider handles your authentication and shares an account identifier, your username, your email address, and any role information with us. Where your short links point is up to you; visiting those destinations is between the visitor and that site.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your account and content until you remove them or ask us to. Click counts are kept while your account exists; your dashboard shows the last 14 days.

Your choices

You can edit or delete any link or your bio, and change your display name or handle, from the dashboard. To change your email, or to close your account and remove its data, contact us at [email protected].

Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt and traffic is served over HTTPS. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. If we make a significant change, we will try to make it visible.
